Job Description:
Facilitate the movement of patients requiring Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Services through the department. This includes registering, scheduling, getting treatment authorizations, and file maintenance. Perform additional clerical tasks as directed.
Responsibilities:
Verify and process all clients with acceptable insurance and payment plans Obtain required authorization/s for patient services in a timely manner Provide information for co-payments and deductibles to the patients for visits Responsible for timely and accurate registration of all patients each visit for approved services Call all the patients with doctor and therapy visits on daily basis to reconfirm appointment 24-48 hours prior to appointments and call back patients to reschedule when they miss appointments Assist Director and the staff in collection of statistical data and in the QI/PI process Pull charts as requested Maintain inventory of office supplies and materials and requisitions them in a timely manner Provide necessary information to other departments and outside providers/agencies as requested/required
Requirements:
