The Clerical Medical Office Assistant position is part of the Wyandot Medical Providers team and is a contingent role working approximately 16 hours per two-week pay period, primarily during day shift hours, Monday through Friday. The position requires flexibility to work at multiple Wyandot Medical Providers locations, including Forest, New Riegel, Sycamore, and Carey, based on departmental and staffing needs. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Medical Office Assistant training or experience preferred Knowledge of medical terminology preferred Strong office, organizational, and clerical skills Above-average computer, oral, and written communication skills Excellent telephone etiquette, interpersonal abilities, and customer service skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions under pressure Tact, diplomacy, and professionalism when interacting with patients and staff Key Responsibilities Serve as receptionist and clerical support, greeting visitors and patients and directing them appropriately Answer telephone calls, schedule appointments, and obtain pre-certifications as needed Perform general clerical duties including typing, filing, assembling reports, and maintaining patient charts Order office supplies and manage inventory as needed Collect payments and assist with billing-related tasks Assist with special promotions, public relations activities, and patient scheduling for tests outside the office Support practitioners and other staff with daily office functions Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations and ensure efficient workflow
