Resident Financial Services & Admissions Coordinator - Long-Term Care

Job Description

Make a Difference Beyond Direct Care MSI Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Resident Financial Services & Admissions Coordinator to join our long-term care team. This role combines admissions, Medicaid coordination, resident trust account management, and family support to help ensure residents receive the care and financial services they need. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in healthcare administration, Medicaid eligibility, admissions, business office operations, or long-term care who enjoys helping residents and families navigate the admission and financial process. What You'll Do Admissions & Resident Services Coordinate resident admissions and discharges Meet with prospective residents and families Verify insurance coverage and financial eligibility Complete admission paperwork and regulatory documentation Assist with PASRR screenings and required state forms Medicaid & Benefits Coordination Track Medicaid applications and eligibility status Work with DHS, Social Security, and other agencies Coordinate reviews, renewals, and required documentation Help residents access available benefits and assistance programs Resident Trust & Financial Management Maintain resident trust accounts and balances Process resident co-pays and personal allowance requests Manage representative payee documentation Reconcile petty cash and financial records Ensure compliance with all trust fund regulations Family & Resident Support Serve as a primary resource for residents and families regarding financial matters Respond to questions regarding trust accounts, Medicaid status, and benefits Assist residents with special purchases and personal needs Records & Administrative Support Maintain accurate resident financial and admission records Create reports and tracking spreadsheets Organize electronic documentation and ensure audit readiness Support facility compliance with state and federal requirements Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare administration, admissions, financial services, business office operations, or long-term care Strong customer service and communication skills Advanced Microsoft Office 365 proficiency required Excellent organizational and time management abilities Advanced computer skills and attention to detail Preferred Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care Knowledge of Medicaid eligibility and application processes Experience managing resident trust accounts Experience working with Social Security and DHS programs Associate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or related field Experience with PointClickCare, MatrixCare, Sage, or similar healthcare software is a plus.
