Active support during all hours, 8 hours sleeping on-site, (available at night if there is an emergency).
Available shifts are:
SUNDAY 24hr shift (Sunday 10AM-Monday 10AM)
MONDAY-TUESDAY
48hr shift (Monday 10AM-Wednesday 10AM) Shift rate: $411.12 per 24-hr shift; $17.13 per/hour outside of shift. Start to accrue overtime after 40 hours weekly. Position Summary The Care Partner supports independent adults with developmental disabilities by maintaining a safe, respectful, clean, and comfortable home environment. The role is to support residents in doing things for themselves rather than taking over tasks they are capable of completing independently. Support should follow each resident's assessment and Negotiated Care Plan.
Main Responsibilities Resident support:
Treat residents with dignity, respect, patience, and professionalism while encouraging independence and life skills. Household duties : Cook meals, assist with meal planning and groceries, thoroughly clean the home, and leave the house clean and organized for the next shift. Medication support : Follow each resident's medication plan exactly, complete medication documentation, and keep MARs accurate and current. Health and safety : Monitor residents' health and well-being, recognize changes or concerns, document appropriately, and communicate concerns to the Manager.
Transportation :
Safely and punctually transport residents to appointments, jobs, activities, haircuts, medical appointments, and other community activities. Activities and community involvement : Help residents participate in recreational, social, educational, employment, and community activities of their choosing.
Documentation :
Complete required incident reports, medication records, health documentation, calendars, and other required paperwork. Emergency response : Respond appropriately and promptly to emergencies and physically assist residents if necessary. Teamwork and communication : Work collaboratively with the Coyote House team, communicate effectively, maintain professional boundaries, and protect resident privacy and confidentiality. Home environment : Help maintain a person-centered, peaceful, respectful shared home and assist with resolving conflicts or challenging behaviors appropriately. What We Look For Care Partners should be dependable, responsible, observant, organized, self-motivated, patient, compassionate, flexible, and able to work independently without constant supervision. The position also requires sound judgment, effective communication, and the ability to work outdoors and assist during emergencies when necessary. Training Requirements CPR/First Aid certification TB test Bloodborne Pathogens certification Food Worker/Handlers permit Criminal background check and fingerprints Developmental Disability Specialty Training after hire HCA or CNA certification and required continuing education The Care Partner is responsible for the residents, the home, and the smooth operation of their shift—providing support and supervision while promoting independence, completing household and documentation duties, supporting medications and health needs, providing transportation, and maintaining a safe, respectful, person-centered environment.
