Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive patient experience by providing exceptional administrative support and managing various patient-related tasks. This position requires strong communication skills, proficiency in medical terminology, and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner at the front desk. Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups. Verify insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing. Conduct medical collections as needed while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation review using EMR systems. Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing multi-line phone systems. Assist with medical billing and coding tasks, including CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop care plans and ensure proper patient intake procedures are followed. Address patient inquiries regarding services, appointments, and medical records with excellent customer service skills. Experience Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with medical terminology and coding (ICD coding, CPT coding) preferred. Proficiency in EHR systems and healthcare/health insurance portals is highly desirable. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and typing proficiency (10 key typing). Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance patient communication. Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional patient service while managing multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with coworkers and patients.
Pay:
$17.17 - $19.00 per hour
