Position Overview The Manager, Respiratory Therapy will lead respiratory care teams and oversee the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality respiratory therapy services. This position will be responsible for managing clinical operations, developing staff, implementing respiratory care standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvements in patient care and service quality. The Manager may oversee respiratory therapy operations across a single location or multiple sites and will work closely with physicians, nurses, clinical leadership, and other multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, mentor, and develop respiratory therapy staff while promoting accountability and professional growth. Translate organizational goals into operational plans, priorities, and measurable outcomes. Manage day-to-day respiratory therapy operations and ensure established policies, procedures, and clinical standards are followed. Implement evidence-based respiratory care practices, protocols, and clinical standards. Monitor clinical outcomes and identify opportunities to improve patient care, workflow, safety, and efficiency. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations and organizational requirements. Promote patient and staff safety by identifying risks, implementing preventive measures, and overseeing corrective actions. Manage staffing, equipment, supplies, and other resources to support efficient department operations. Analyze performance metrics and implement data-driven improvements. Oversee patient assessments, care planning, treatment modifications, and discharge processes. Support teams in managing complex patient cases and addressing patient concerns and complaints. Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on patient outcomes, safety, service quality, and operational efficiency. Provide training and educational opportunities to maintain and enhance staff competencies. Stay current with respiratory care research, technology, equipment, regulations, and industry best practices. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and organizational leadership on strategic planning and service improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, Healthcare Administration, or a related field . Minimum 7 years of experience in respiratory therapy or a directly related field . Minimum 3 years of leadership experience , with or without direct reports. At least 4 years of experience in healthcare, customer service, business, or a directly related field , including at least 2 years of respiratory therapy experience . Active California Respiratory Care Practitioner License required at hire. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required at hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
Pay:
