Key Qualifications:
Current and valid license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program Proven clinical experience in acute care or hospital settings preferred Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy protocols, equipment, and best practices Effective communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic respiratory interventions BLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain prior to start)
Responsibilities:
Administer and monitor various respiratory care procedures, treatments, and medications as ordered Evaluate respiratory status and develop patient-centered care plans Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment including ventilators, aerosol generators, and oxygen delivery devices Monitor patient responses, document progress, and update interdisciplinary team as needed Provide education to patients and families on respiratory health and equipment usage Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to all regulatory and safety standards This contract role offers the chance to work in a dynamic healthcare environment where your skills are highly valued, and you can make a meaningful difference in patients' lives.
