Responsible for providing professional care for the pulmonary & sleep patient's in these Physicians office's through the use and implementation of the process of assessment, planning, evaluation, and re-evaluation of care by applying the Respiratory scope of practice via guidelines, policies & protocols. The Respiratory Therapist is to take an active role in the direction of the care and education of the patient and significant others to obtain and maintain an optimal level of health. The Respiratory Therapist is a contributing member of the Multidisciplinary Health Care Team in the Physicians office. Must be able to communicate the needs of the patient/significant other to all disciplines involved in the patient's hospitalization and rehabilitation. Must support the vision and values of Witham Health Services.
Minimum Requirements:
Current State Licensure in Respiratory Therapy Graduate of an AMA approved school for respiratory therapy and be a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC. Will accept Certified Respiratory Therapist but must pass Registry by the NBRC within two years of hire date. Must maintain state license, yearly competencies for your scope of practice and BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, Care Learning.
