Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver advanced respiratory care and make an immediate impact in patient outcomes by providing essential therapy services on a contract basis. Leveraging your expertise as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will collaborate with medical teams to assess, treat, and care for patients experiencing cardiopulmonary disorders.

Key Qualifications:

Active license as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist Proven clinical experience in respiratory therapy, preferably within hospitals or acute care settings Proficient in performing and interpreting arterial blood gases, administering therapeutic treatments, and managing ventilatory support Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred

Schedule:

Full-time, 40 hours per week

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans for those with respiratory distress Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, including ventilators Monitor patient progress, report changes to physicians, and document therapies in medical records Educate patients and families on best practices for respiratory health and equipment usage
