Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity making a difference in young lives as a Speech-Language Pathologist at an esteemed intermediate school. This onsite position allows you to help 3rd to 6th-grade students develop vital communication skills in a supportive school setting. You'll have the flexibility of working just two days per week, creating impactful change while maintaining a balanced schedule.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Current
ABESPA AL SLP
Certification and/or
AL SLP DOE
Certification (you may start with one while pursuing the other) Successful completion of the SLP-CCC credential Previous experience in a school-based SLP role preferred Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills for language, articulation, and fluency disorders Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Commitment to supporting the unique needs of 3rd-6th grade students
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy to students, following IEPs and school guidelines Assess, diagnose, and document students' communication needs Develop customized treatment plans and track student progress Participate in IEP meetings and partner with educational staff Provide consultative support and resources to teachers and families Foster a positive, inclusive environment to help students reach their fullest potential This contract role is set to begin as soon as possible and runs through May 27, 2027.
