Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by bringing your expertise as a School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to a dynamic educational setting. This contract position offers an opportunity to provide essential speech and language services to children, supporting their academic and social success. Work collaboratively with educators, families, and staff in a positive, inclusive atmosphere near Harvest, AL.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) State licensure (or eligibility) for Speech-Language Pathology Previous experience in school settings preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment for diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational staff and families Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students Maintain accurate records of treatment, progress, and required documentation according to district and state guidelines Engage in IEP meetings and communicate students' progress to teachers, parents, and team members Offer classroom strategies and support to teachers for students with communication needs Participate in professional development and district initiatives as needed
