Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary and middle school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. You'll help make meaningful progress in the lives of children aged 8-11 years (grades 3 through 5), working with a caseload of 35 students. This role covers both Greenville Elementary School and Greenville Middle School, providing ongoing support from your start date through May 21, 2027. With a dedicated 35-hour work week, you'll collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to create an engaging, positive environment for student growth.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active SLP license and current state certification required. Previous school-based SLP experience preferred, especially with elementary or middle school students. Strong understanding of evaluation, IEP development, and data-driven intervention planning for speech and language needs. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff. Able to manage a caseload of 35 students across two school settings.

Main Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech and language therapy to students ages 8-11, grades 3-5. Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations as needed. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and teachers. Monitor and report on student progress in compliance with school and state guidelines. Maintain thorough documentation and timely communication.
