Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in Alabama Previous experience working in school or pediatric settings preferred Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation requirements, and speech/language intervention strategies Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to students per IEP goals Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans Participate in IEP meetings and provide input for goal development and progress tracking Maintain detailed progress notes, evaluations, and required documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards Offer consultation and training to teachers and staff to support students' communication needs in the classroom
