Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in grades 3-6 as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This onsite position is situated in an engaging educational setting and offers an immediate start through late May 2027, working two days per week (approximately 15 hours weekly). Your expertise will make a tangible difference for intermediate school learners, providing tailored speech and language services that foster communication and academic success.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid Alabama SLP certification from ABESPA or the Department of Education (possessing one at start, with the ability to obtain the other, is acceptable) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology Previous experience in school-based or pediatric SLP settings preferred Excellent communication and collaboration skills Adaptability and creative problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy to students in grades 3rd through 6th on an onsite basis Collaborate with staff and families to assess student needs and develop individualized treatment plans Maintain clear documentation and prepare timely progress reports Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to IEP development Support a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students This position allows you to focus on impactful, direct services with consistent part-time hours in a welcoming school community.
