Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A rewarding contract position is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) or a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic school-based environment near Vina, AL. This full-time opportunity is perfect for dedicated professionals passionate about providing direct, face-to-face therapy and comprehensive speech and language assessments throughout the school year. The current caseload is manageable at 55 students, with only 8 requiring case management files. This allows for focused therapeutic interventions and the opportunity to make a significantly positive impact in students' academic and social development.
Key Qualifications:
Valid SLP-CCC or SLPA licensure (school-based experience preferred) Ability to perform in-person therapy and assessments Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills Effective organizational and time-management abilities Passion for supporting student communication needs in an educational setting
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy to a diverse student caseload Conduct ongoing speech and language assessments and provide comprehensive reports as needed Maintain accurate therapy logs, progress notes, and documentation for case management Collaborate with teachers, faculty, and families to develop and support individualized education plans (IEPs) Participate in team meetings and provide professional insight into student progress and recommendations Perks of the
