Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting high school students near Red Rock, AZ as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time, full school year, itinerant position offers the chance to work across three local high school campuses, playing a pivotal role in students' communication development and success. Your primary focus will be at one high school, overseeing a caseload of approximately 50 students, while providing additional support to two smaller sites with about 10 combined students. You'll work with a diverse group of learners, ranging from those with mild articulation issues to those with complex disabilities, including students in adaptive cluster programs and those on the autism spectrum. Your expertise will help foster essential communication skills and enhance educational outcomes.
Qualifications:
Active Speech-Language Pathologist license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Current state certification for school-based SLPs Valid IVP fingerprint clearance card Previous experience with mild to severe student needs, including ASD and adaptive programs, is preferred Strong organizational skills to manage an itinerant, multi-site caseload
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive speech and language services across all three high school sites Conduct evaluations and ongoing assessments for students on your caseload Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate closely with special education teams, staff, and families Document progress and adjust interventions as needed Travel between sites as scheduled, primarily focusing on Mountain View H.S.
