Job Summary Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Special Education and Student Support Services and/or designee, provide speech and language services to students with communication disorders from preschool to age 22; conduct assessments to assist in determining eligibility for special education and recommend appropriate speech and language services for students; develop and provide direct and indirect services for students with communication disorders; consult with staff, parents/guardians/educational rights holders, and others concerned with the progress of students and develop strategies for meaningful educational benefit; consult and collaborate with staff to assist with the development and implementation of comprehensive Individual Educational Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATION OR OTHER PREFERENCES

• California State Licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) (preferred) • Must be able to become certified in Crisis Prevention Institute's (CPI) Non-violent intervention
