Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding career working with students in a collaborative educational environment in the vibrant Coachella Valley region. This is a full-time, contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year, focusing primarily on PreK students. Candidates with a passion for making a positive impact, flexibility to work with diverse needs, and an interest in the education field will thrive in this role. The assignment is onsite only, with an emphasis on continuity-ideal candidates are those who can commit to more than a full-year assignment. Those who are open to travel and willing to make a longer-term commitment are encouraged to apply. Strong preference is given to bilingual Spanish speakers, but monolingual candidates are also welcome. Recent graduates seeking their Clinical Fellowship (CF) year are highly encouraged to apply, as mentorship is available.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or CF-eligible Valid Certificate of Clearance (COC) Previous school-based SLP experience preferred, especially with SEIS documentation Familiarity with California Medicaid billing (Paradigm) a plus Experience or willingness to work with PreK, mild-moderate, and severe needs populations Comfort with AAC devices Bilingual Spanish preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy services to students, primarily at PreK level, with possible itinerant assignments Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with families to optimize student outcomes Complete evaluations, write and update IEPs, and maintain thorough documentation Adapt therapy to address individual communication needs If you are passionate about supporting students' communication development and are committed to serving for at least a year, apply now to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners in the Coachella Valley!
