Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity near vibrant Huntington Beach, CA, making a meaningful difference in the lives of students from transitional kindergarten through 8th grade. This full-time role, active from September 1, 2026, to February 10, 2026, is designed for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a passion for serving diverse student populations. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly preferred to support the community's unique needs.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current licensure. Experience in school settings, particularly supporting TK-8th grade students. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish strongly preferred. Demonstrated skill in conducting bilingual speech-language evaluations. Expertise in report writing reflecting compliance and best practices. Proven ability to schedule and deliver speech services effectively.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive bilingual assessments to identify students' language and communication needs. Develop clear, detailed reports and present findings to education teams and families. Design and implement individual or group therapy sessions tailored to student goals. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to foster student growth and communication abilities. Organize service schedules to maximize therapy impact and ensure all mandated services are fulfilled. Participate in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights regarding student progress and recommendations.
