Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting students in the Coachella Valley area as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract basis, starting with the 26/27 school year. This opportunity is ideal for someone eager to make an impact in a PreK setting, serving a diverse range of students, including those with mild to moderate and some severe needs. The district places particular emphasis on onsite engagement, focusing their current search on candidates who can work in person. Desired Skills & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellowship eligibility Experience in school settings highly preferred, especially with SEIS documentation and CA Medicaid (Paradigm) Certificate of Clearance (COC) required Bilingual Spanish abilities are strongly preferred, though monolingual candidates will be considered Willingness to commit to at least one full academic year assignment Comfort working with PreK populations and familiarity with AAC devices is advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver assessment, intervention, and therapy services in alignment with IEP goals for students primarily in PreK Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication needs Maintain timely, thorough documentation in compliance with district and state regulations, including Medicaid billing (if applicable) Adapt therapy approaches for mild to moderate, and some severe, student needs Flexibility to travel within the district if assigned to an itinerant role This position offers the chance to work in a supportive, diverse community where your expertise will make a lasting difference.
