Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic role supporting students in the vibrant Coachella Valley area! This full-time, full school year contract opportunity is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists who are passionate about making a lasting impact in a school setting and eager to commit to at least a year or longer. Serving a diverse range of learners, you'll focus primarily on PreK students, with a high probability of enjoying an itinerant assignment across various school sites. We welcome candidates with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), and are open to Clinical Fellows (CFs) ready to grow their skills in an enriching educational environment. Bilingual English-Spanish professionals are especially desired, though all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply. If you have previous experience in schools, navigating SEIS, or past involvement with California Medicaid (Paradigm), you'll have an edge—but a genuine dedication to student growth is most important.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
Master's in Speech-Language Pathology and current California SLP licensure Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CF) COC (Certificate of Clearance) required Bilingual Spanish/English highly preferred, monolingual SLPs also considered Comfortable with mild-to-moderate and some severe student needs; experience with AAC devices is beneficial Prior school-based and/or SEIS or CA Medicaid experience is a plus Willingness to take on itinerant assignments and collaborate across different campuses
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative SLP services primarily to PreK students Evaluate and develop treatment plans for a range of speech and language disorders Complete documentation aligned with district standards and state compliance Work closely with educators and families, potentially across several campuses Contribute to IEP meetings and student support planning Support students utilizing AAC devices Let your expertise shine while supporting the next generation of learners.
