Adventist Health is seeking a part-time Speech Pathologist to provide compassionate, day-shift care in a faith-based, mission-driven environment. In this role, you will evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse age groups. You'll develop individualized treatment plans, document care in the EHR, and educate patients and families to support functional communication and safety. Responsibilities Evaluate patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders using standardized assessments and clinical observation. Develop, implement, and adjust evidence-based, individualized treatment plans aligned with whole-person care principles. Provide direct therapeutic interventions and monitor patient progress toward functional communication and swallowing goals. Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies, home programs, and safety related to communication and swallowing. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational and physical therapists, and other team members to coordinate comprehensive care. Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and documentation standards, including payer and Medicare requirements. Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
