In this role, you will provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to pediatric patients, supporting their communication development and overall well-being. Your expertise will help children overcome speech and language impairments, facilitating their success in educational, social, and daily activities. Responsibilities Conduct thorough speech and language assessments for pediatric patients, including early intervention evaluations thru Grade 8. Develop individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each child's needs, utilizing evidence-based practices Implement therapy techniques to improve speech clarity, language comprehension, social communication, and related skills Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive treatment approaches Document patient progress accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions when appropriate, ensuring continuity of care Educate families on strategies to support communication development at home and in educational settings Stay current with advancements in physiology, anatomy relevant to speech production, and medical terminology pertinent to pediatric care Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for children with disabilities or developmental delays Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care plans across various healthcare disciplines Requirements Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program; licensure or certification as required by state or national authorities Proven experience working with pediatric populations across diverse settings such as schools, clinics, or early intervention programs Strong knowledge of pediatrics, including early intervention strategies and developmental milestones Demonstrated ability to implement speech therapy plans effectively for children with speech impairments and language disorders Experience working with individuals with disabilities and understanding of anatomy and physiology related to speech mechanisms Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and comprehensive evaluation methods If you are passionate about making a meaningful difference in children's lives through expert speech-language pathology services, we encourage you to apply today.
