Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding, short-term opportunity as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist working with a vibrant middle school population near New Haven, CT. This full-time role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact over a 6-8-week assignment, with the possibility for extension based on the needs of the school and your availability. In this position, you'll provide essential speech and language services, supporting students' communication development during a critical time in their education.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active Connecticut SLP license Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred Previous experience in a school setting, particularly with middle school students Strong collaboration and communication abilities with teachers, parents, and school staff Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage a full caseload effectively
Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication needs Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with student teams Document ongoing progress and maintain thorough records Consult with teachers and provide strategies for classroom support Attend required meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams Communicate regularly with families to address questions and outline student progress This contract offers a competitive compensation of $107 per hour, reflecting the expertise and dedication you bring to student care.
