This role involves working with children to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders. The ideal candidate will have experience in a school setting and a strong background in pediatrics, providing effective speech therapy to enhance communication skills in young patients. Open To Evaluator Position (SLP or CF) need bilingual-Spanish, may include supervision of SLPA if needed. Up to 3 days per week (up to 22.5 hrs) in north east Polk County. Therapy Position (SLP, CF, or SLPA) at Dundee Elementary Academy for 2 days per week (15 hrs). Part-Time Position- we are open to finding a Bilingual SLP or CF who can do both evaluations and therapy. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities in children throughout Polk County for up to 3 days a week. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals. Implement evidence-based speech therapy techniques to improve communication skills. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Provide early intervention services to children with developmental delays in communication. Educate families on strategies to support their child's speech and language development at home. Skills Strong knowledge of Gestalt Language Processing, AAC, and speech-language disorders. Experience working in school settings with pediatric populations is highly desirable. Ability to conduct thorough assessments and develop effective treatment plans. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Understanding of early intervention strategies for children with speech and language challenges. Compassionate approach to patient care, fostering a supportive environment for learning and growth.
