Job Summary Children's Love is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our growing pediatric therapy team. This is a full-time, in-house position designed for an SLP looking for a stable and collaborative work environment with a guaranteed 35-40 hour workweek . The SLP will provide speech-language services to children in both school-based settings and our pediatric therapy center , while also playing an essential role in developing and expanding our Speech Therapy Department. Unlike traditional contract positions that rely solely on billable treatment hours, this position combines direct patient care with evaluations, clinical planning, department development, family education, and administrative responsibilities. When client appointments are unavailable due to cancellations or scheduling changes, the clinician will transition to meaningful clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a consistent and productive workday. This role is ideal for an SLP who enjoys working in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment and wants to contribute to the long-term growth of a pediatric therapy program. Primary ResponsibilitiesDirect Clinical Services Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations for pediatric clients. Develop individualized treatment plans and establish functional, evidence-based goals. Provide direct speech-language therapy services in school and clinic settings. Complete re-evaluations, progress reports, and discharge planning as required. Collaborate with families, teachers, physicians, BCBAs, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to promote continuity of care. Provide parent and caregiver education to support carryover of therapy goals into the home and school environments. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation. Clinical Leadership & Department Development Assist in the continued growth and organization of the Speech Therapy Department. Develop treatment resources, therapy materials, and home programs. Create standardized therapy activities for articulation, language, AAC, social communication, and early intervention. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental planning. Help establish clinical workflows, documentation templates, and best practices. Support onboarding and scheduling of new speech therapy clients. Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), when applicable and in accordance with Florida regulations. Administrative & Clinical Support Responsibilities During times when direct patient care is unavailable, responsibilities may include: Completing documentation and clinical reports. Preparing evaluations and treatment plans. Reviewing client charts for quality assurance and compliance. Developing therapy materials and clinical resources. Conducting parent consultations and caregiver education. Coordinating with referral sources and assisting with intake processes. Participating in interdisciplinary meetings and case collaboration. Supporting community outreach efforts, screenings, and referral development. Assisting with scheduling optimization and caseload management. Organizing and maintaining therapy equipment, assessment tools, and clinical resources. Qualifications Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist License. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred (Clinical Fellows may be considered). Experience working with pediatric populations and early intervention preferred. Strong knowledge of speech, language, articulation, fluency, voice, AAC, and feeding/swallowing disorders. Excellent assessment, clinical reasoning, and treatment planning skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
