In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat young children with speech, language, and communication impairments, fostering their development and supporting early intervention efforts. Your expertise will help children improve their communication skills, enabling them to succeed academically and socially. This position is a hybrid model where the SLP will provide therapy in preschools and daycares within close proximity to our clinic and also in clinic therapy with a dedicated room for therapy. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for preschool-aged children to identify communication disorders. Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each child's specific needs, including early intervention strategies. Deliver engaging therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques to improve speech clarity, language comprehension, social communication, and oral motor skills. Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure consistent support across environments. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment progress, and session notes within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems. Educate families on speech and language development milestones, home practice activities, and strategies for ongoing support. Stay current with advances in pediatrics, speech therapy practices, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to enhance patient care. Qualifications Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Experience working with pediatric populations in early intervention or school settings preferred. Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology principles, including comprehensive evaluations and therapy plan implementation. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children with speech impairments and disabilities. Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and experience delivering services via telehealth is a plus. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, educators, and healthcare professionals. Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes.
