In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to children with a variety of communication challenges. Your expertise will help improve speech, language, and social skills, fostering meaningful progress for each young patient. Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients' speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions using evidence-based evaluation tools. Develop individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each child's unique needs, incorporating goals aligned with developmental milestones and family priorities. Deliver engaging therapy sessions through direct intervention, utilizing techniques such as articulation therapy, language stimulation, social communication strategies, and augmentative communication devices when appropriate. Collaborate effectively with families, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care plans and consistent support across environments. Monitor progress regularly by documenting treatment outcomes and adjusting therapy strategies accordingly to maximize effectiveness. Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems accurately for documentation and reporting purposes. Stay current with advances in pediatrics, physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology to enhance service quality. Qualifications Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Proven experience working with pediatric populations in clinical settings such as clinics, schools, or early intervention programs. Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology principles including comprehensive evaluations and therapy plan implementation for children with speech impairments or disabilities. Experience working with children who have diverse needs related to communication disorders, including those with developmental delays or disabilities. Familiarity with telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions and experience delivering telehealth services effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams including audiologists, occupational therapists, educators, and medical professionals. Excellent communication skills for parent collaboration and patient care coordination. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to speech production and swallowing functions.
