Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders Develop individualized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations and patient goals Deliver engaging and effective speech therapy interventions for pediatric populations, including early intervention programs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment notes, and compliance with medical terminology standards Educate patients and their families about speech development strategies and exercises to support ongoing progress Stay current with best practices in pediatrics, physiology, and anatomy to enhance therapy effectiveness Skills Proven experience working with pediatric populations in school or clinical settings Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques and early intervention strategies Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse needs Solid understanding of physiology and anatomy related to speech and swallowing functions Ability to perform detailed patient assessments and interpret medical terminology accurately Familiarity with school-based environments or pediatric healthcare settings is highly desirable Effective communication skills to collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare professionals
