Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will assess, and treat communication and swallowing disorders across diverse populations, with a special focus on pediatric patients. Your expertise will help our residents improve their speech, language, and social communication skills, fostering confidence and independence. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, including goals for speech therapy and early intervention strategies. Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve communication skills in pediatric populations, including those with developmental delays or speech impairments. Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, teachers, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care and progress tracking. Educate patients and their families about physiology, anatomy related to speech and swallowing functions, and medical terminology relevant to their conditions. Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations. Stay current with advancements in speech therapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities. Experience Prior experience working in long-term care is highly preferred. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to speech production and swallowing functions. Proven ability to perform patient assessments accurately using standardized tools and clinical judgment. Familiarity with medical terminology associated with speech-language pathology diagnoses and treatments. Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to support holistic patient care.
