Job Description
Make a meaningful difference in a student's life by providing personalized speech-language pathology services in a supportive home environment. This contract opportunity involves working directly with a medically fragile school-aged student, ensuring their specific communication needs are met with care and expertise. You'll conduct two 45-minute sessions per week, delivering high-quality interventions tailored to the individual's goals.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required Active state license in Speech-Language Pathology Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged clients, particularly those who are medically fragile or have complex needs Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and modify approaches as needed Strong communication and collaboration skills for coordinating with families and school staff Comfortable providing services in a home setting
Key Responsibilities:
Assess speech, language, and communication skills to develop and implement individualized therapy plans Deliver two 45-minute sessions each week in the student's home, focusing on strategies and exercises that target specific functional goals Engage with parents/guardians to coach and empower them in supporting home practice Document progress and adjust interventions as necessary for optimal outcomes Liaise with school personnel and any interdisciplinary care teams when needed
