Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse range of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across pediatric populations. Your expertise will help improve patients' quality of life by delivering personalized therapy plans in educational or clinical settings. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing issues in pediatric clients. Develop and implement tailored therapy plans based on individual patient needs, utilizing evidence-based practices. Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to support early intervention initiatives and ensure continuity of care. Provide direct speech therapy sessions to children in school or clinical environments, fostering communication skills and confidence. Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies to optimize outcomes. Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare standards. Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support ongoing communication development at home. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Prior experience working with pediatric populations in school settings or clinics is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques, physiology, anatomy related to speech and swallowing functions, and medical terminology. Experience with patient assessment tools and early intervention programs is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
