Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Provide essential speech therapy support in a contract-based role working closely with a medically fragile student near Kathleen, GA. This opportunity is tailored for a caring and experienced professional committed to making a genuine difference in a student's life. You'll deliver personalized speech-language services in a home setting, conducting two 45-minute sessions each week.
Qualifications:
Valid state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Previous experience with medically fragile or complex-needs students preferred Ability to work independently in a home environment, demonstrating reliability and professionalism Strong communication skills, able to collaborate with family members and care teams Passion for helping students achieve significant communication milestones
Key Responsibilities:
Assess the student's individual speech, language, and communication needs Create and implement effective therapy plans to address targeted goals Conduct engaging, evidence-based 45-minute sessions twice a week at the student's home Monitor and document the student's progress, adjusting approaches as necessary Provide guidance and support to family members to reinforce therapy techniques outside of sessions Communicate progress and recommendations with families and any involved educational staff
