Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students in a vibrant school environment near Millen, GA. As a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll focus on fostering communication skills and empowering students to reach their fullest potential. This role centers on a single building, providing a supportive atmosphere and strong sense of community among staff and students. Your expertise will directly impact 22 speech-only caseloads as well as 25 secondary-level students. The assignment runs from ASAP through May 27th, offering the chance to make a tangible difference over the course of the academic year.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license (CCC-SLP or eligible) Experience working in school settings with K-12 populations strongly preferred Familiarity with IEP development and implementation Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to engage students at varying speech and language levels Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy to K-12 students, focusing on both speech-only and secondary populations Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and monitor student progress Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure holistic student support Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with school and district standards Participate in meetings and contribute expertise to the educational team This is your chance to support students in a collaborative and welcoming educational setting, helping them gain the communication skills they need to thrive.
