Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents. In this role, you will provide specialized speech therapy services, conduct comprehensive patient assessments, and develop tailored treatment plans to support communication and swallowing functions. This flexible position offers the opportunity to work in a Skilled Nursing setting where SLP services contribute greatly to our residents quality of life. Duties Perform detailed evaluations of patients' speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized assessment tools. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving communication skills and swallowing safety. Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, and medical teams to coordinate care plans and ensure consistency across environments. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and assessment findings in compliance with regulatory standards. Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support speech development and effective communication at home. Stay current with advances in speech therapy techniques, physiology knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to pediatrics. Work with an established Therapy team that drives culture and resident quality of life. Experience Prior experience working with the elderly in educational or clinical settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in speech therapy and early intervention programs. Strong knowledge of physiology related to speech production, swallowing mechanisms, and anatomy relevant to communication disorders. Proven ability to assess patient needs accurately through comprehensive evaluations and observations. Familiarity with medical terminology pertinent to speech-language pathology and geriatric care environments.

Pay:

$40.00 - $55.00 per hour
