Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a dynamic school setting near Pekin, IL. This position is designed for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist passionate about making a meaningful difference in the educational experience of students with varying communication needs. The role runs from May 31 and is contracted through June 28, 2027. You'll enjoy a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Key Qualifications:
Valid state SLP licensure and ASHA CCCs (or eligibility) Prior experience in school-based settings preferred Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and multimodal communication strategies Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 38 students, including those exhibiting behavioral challenges Strong collaboration and communication skills to engage with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language services tailored to students with diverse learning needs, emphasizing AAC and multimodal approaches Implement and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs), track student progress, and adjust interventions accordingly Collaborate with educators, support staff, and caregivers to maximize student participation and achievement Document services, complete progress reports, and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines This is a fantastic opportunity to utilize your expertise, foster growth, and work closely with a supportive educational team.
