School-Based Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' communication growth in a welcoming school environment near Rock Falls, IL. You'll work in a Speech Language Pathologist capacity, with the flexibility to choose between two engaging caseloads for the upcoming spring semester. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM, allowing for a consistent routine while making a meaningful difference.
Available Caseloads:
Work with 50 dynamic 4th-8th grade students in one building (5 reevaluations anticipated) Or, support a preschool and transition caseload of 40 young learners (1 reevaluation planned) Both caseloads offer the chance to collaborate with staff and families, develop individualized communication plans, and utilize a variety of AAC devices, including Eyegaze technology.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders IL State License in Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong applicants in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are also considered Schools-based SLP experience is a plus Comfort and adaptability with AAC support
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments Deliver therapy and interventions based on IEP goals Maintain clear documentation and communication with teams and families Participate in reevaluations and data-driven progress monitoring Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and administrators to facilitate student success This contract position runs from February 1, 2027, through June 11, 2027.
