Job Description
This opportunity offers speech-language pathologists a chance to make a difference in a school-based setting for a maternity leave coverage assignment. You'll support students from August 19th through the end of October with a full-time schedule. The position is open to experienced SLPs as well as clinical fellows (CFs), and interviews are taking place as soon as possible. The role is based near Wilmette, IL, and is contract in nature.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current or eligible for Illinois SLP licensure Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or CFY candidates are welcome Previous experience with pediatric populations and within school settings preferred Familiarity with teletherapy platforms a plus Strong organizational and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy to students, both individually and in group settings Complete assessments, write progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to develop student goals Adapt and implement strategies for virtual or in-person sessions Document sessions and student outcomes in compliance with school district standards This contract offers the unique chance to work alongside supportive school teams while positively impacting children's communication skills.
