Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving students as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, supporting learners near Mishawaka, IN. This position covers a long-term leave from September 14th to March 1st, 2027, ensuring continuity of speech services during a pivotal time in the school year. We welcome both fully credentialed SLP-CCCs and talented SLPAs—if you're an assistant, we'll coordinate supervision to align with your skillset and goals. You'll work with a manageable caseload of 41 students, including 1-2 from the alternative education center in Goshen, providing vital communication support and collaborating with a dedicated educational team. Your expertise will have a measurable impact on students' academic and social success.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Indiana SLP license (CCC certification preferred for SLPs) SLPA candidates must hold valid Indiana credentials; supervision provided if needed Previous school-based experience strongly valued Proficient with IEP documentation and progress monitoring Compassionate communication and team-oriented mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students ages K-12 Conduct screenings, develop treatment plans, and implement IEPs Coordinate with teachers, staff, and families to support language and communication goals Track student progress and maintain accurate records Serve students both in traditional school settings and at the alternative education center This contract role offers stability throughout the school year and the fulfillment of guiding students toward their communication milestones in a supportive, collaborative atmosphere.
