Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Shape a rewarding experience supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract basis for the upcoming school year. This onsite opportunity centers on conducting speech-language evaluations and working closely with a team-oriented SLP staff. You'll have the chance to make a visible difference for approximately 50-70 students, many of whom are supported in life skills or nonverbal programs.
Desired qualifications:
Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required Experience in educational or school-based settings is preferred Strong assessment, evaluation, and report-writing skills Knowledge of strategies for working with nonverbal and life skills student populations Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation abilities Daily responsibilities: Conduct speech-language evaluations to assess student needs and eligibility Prepare detailed, compliant evaluation reports and participate in IEP meetings as needed Consult and collaborate with another SLP, especially in supporting nonverbal life skills students Maintain thorough records and ensure compliance with special education requirements Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support individual student goals Take pride in serving a caseload that relies on your expertise for meaningful progress. The academic calendar runs from early August through early June, allowing you to follow the traditional school schedule while sharing success stories with dedicated colleagues.
