Job Description

Make a real difference supporting students while advancing your career in a dynamic school-based environment. This rewarding opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to provide specialized services during a part-time maternity leave coverage. You'll work closely with dedicated educators and students, making a significant impact throughout your assignment. The position is contract-based, beginning in early October and concluding just before the winter holidays. If selected, you'll have the unique chance to shadow the current SLP for 1-2 weeks prior to the leave, ensuring a smooth transition for both you and the students. Your schedule consists of three days per week—Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday—completing around 20 hours weekly. Flexibility exists based on the time it takes you to accomplish your caseload needs. What you'll bring: Active SLP-CCC and relevant school-based SLP experience Prior work in educational settings with diverse caseloads Strong communication and consultative skills Demonstrated ability to collaborate with educational teams Commitment to student growth and individualized support Organizational skills to manage approximately 46 students, with both direct and consultative services required Your responsibilities will include: Delivering targeted speech-language therapy and consults as part of an IEP team Documenting progress and maintaining accurate records for student services Communicating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary professionals Participating in IEP meetings and supporting compliance with policies Transitioning smoothly by shadowing the outgoing SLP prior to the start date In-person interviews are preferred, though virtual options are available.
