School-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

  • Position in Harvey, LA If you're a Speech-Language Pathologist living in or around New Orleans and looking for a meaningful full-time opportunity nearby, this role offers the chance to make a real difference without relocating.
Supporting a school district in Harvey, you'll work with students in elementary, middle, or high school settings, helping them develop the communication skills needed to succeed both academically and socially.
Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Active Louisiana SLP license or eligibility for licensure ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred School-based or pediatric experience preferred Make an Impact in the New Orleans / Harvey, Louisiana Community In this role, your expertise will directly impact students' confidence, independence, and ability to engage with their peers and educators. You'll collaborate with a supportive team of professionals while working with a diverse caseload, allowing you to apply your clinical strengths in a school-based setting. This is a great opportunity to stay local while building strong relationships within a neighboring community and making a lasting difference in students' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and indirect speech and language therapy services Conduct evaluations and assist in developing and implementing IEPs Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Track student progress and adjust therapy strategies as needed Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance
