The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care, with expertise in evaluating and treating speech, language, and communication disorders across diverse populations. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing comprehensive speech and language therapy services, collaborating with families, and supporting individuals of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric patients. The Speech-Language Pathologist will utilize evidence-based practices to develop personalized therapy plans, ensuring optimal communication outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions to identify communication impairments. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient's needs. Provide direct therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques across various settings, including clinics, schools, or telehealth platforms. Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, educators, and other healthcare professionals to support patient progress and ensure cohesive care strategies. Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems. Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology practices by engaging in ongoing professional development. Educate patients and their families about communication disorders, treatment options, and strategies for ongoing support. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate comprehensive care for individuals with complex needs. Skills Extensive knowledge of pediatric speech therapy and early intervention techniques. Proven experience working with children and adults with speech impairments or disabilities. Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy related to speech production and swallowing functions. Ability to perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations accurately. Familiarity with telehealth therapy delivery methods and experience managing remote sessions effectively. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient management. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with patients, families, educators, and healthcare teams. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology practice. Experience working with geriatric populations or individuals with complex medical conditions is advantageous.
