Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Empower students to achieve their full communication potential by providing expert speech-language services in an engaging educational environment. This contract-based role supports PreK-12 students, collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to implement individualized programs that make a lasting difference.
Qualifications/Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Active and current state licensure/certification as an
SLP ASHA
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Previous experience working in school settings with PreK-12 students Strong knowledge of assessment tools, therapy techniques, and IEP documentation Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with students, educators, and parents
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapy services for students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to integrate speech-language strategies into the classroom Conduct screenings and progress monitoring to evaluate student development and adjust interventions accordingly Maintain thorough records of evaluations, treatment plans, sessions, and student progress as per school and state requirements Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions Offer guidance, education, and support to families and school personnel regarding strategies for effective communication This role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and social growth, while working alongside dedicated professionals in a supportive school environment.
