Qualifications and Experience:
Hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Possess (or be eligible for) state licensure and required credentials for school-based SLP positions. Demonstrate experience with individualized education plans (IEPs), assessment, and evidence-based interventions. Effective communicator with students, staff, and families. Familiarity with school procedures and documentation. Previous experience working within a school setting is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings, assessments, and diagnoses of speech, language, and communication disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address student needs. Write and maintain thorough documentation, progress notes, and contribute to IEPs for each student. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student success. Provide direct therapy services individually or in small groups. Attend meetings and professional development as needed. Monitor and report progress to guide future interventions.
