Job Description

Elementary Speech-Language Pathologist | AAC Focus About the
Opportunity:
AnthroMed Education is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join one of our trusted school partners in Chestertown, Maryland for the 2026-2027 school year. This is an exciting opportunity for an SLP with an interest in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) to support elementary students and help foster meaningful communication skills. You'll join a small, close-knit district that values collaboration and teamwork. The special education team works closely across disciplines to provide comprehensive support for students, making this an excellent environment for clinicians who enjoy being part of a supportive team while making a lasting impact.
What You'll Do:
Provide speech-language therapy services to elementary students Conduct evaluations and assess speech, language, and communication needs Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Support students using AAC systems and devices Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and team planning Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with IDEA and Maryland state regulations Caseload Details Elementary students (Grades K-5) Caseload of approximately 40-45 students Opportunity to work with and implement AAC devices and communication systems Collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Active Maryland SLP license (or eligibility for licensure) Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required Interest or experience working with AAC is highly preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Why You'll Love Working with AnthroMed Education Competitive annual salary of $68,000-$80,000 based on experience, paid weekly over 52 weeks Paid time off plus pay during all school breaks, including Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Break Full medical, dental, and vision coverage, including a PPO medical plan with $0 payroll deductions 401(k) with a 100% employer match up to 3%, beginning on Day 1 Employer-paid short-term disability and paid parental leave Annual materials stipend 100% reimbursement for licensure dues and professional expenses Free CEUs, therapy resources, and access to guest speaker series Ongoing mentorship and individualized support from a dedicated Clinical Director Collaborative team culture with regular professional development and peer connection opportunities Apply Today!
