Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an exciting opportunity supporting elementary students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. This position is designed to cover a maternity leave, beginning mid-September and continuing through December. You'll be working directly with students in Young 5 through 3rd grade, providing speech and language services essential for their academic and social development. With a manageable caseload and a consistent schedule of 24 hours per week (6 hours a day, 4 days a week), you'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive educational environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) eligibility Experience working with school-age children, preferably in an elementary setting Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to adapt therapy approaches for diverse learner needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy to students in Young 5 through 3rd grade Conduct assessments and interpret evaluation results Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families Maintain timely and accurate documentation Support students' language, articulation, fluency, and pragmatic communication goals Participate in team meetings and contribute to instructional planning This contract role is perfect for Speech-Language Pathologists seeking an engaging part-time schedule with young learners during the fall semester.
