Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, student-focused Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students in Pre-K through 8th grade . The School Speech-Language Pathologist will evaluate students, develop individualized treatment plans, provide direct and consultative services, and collaborate with educators and families to support students' communication skills and academic success. Essential Responsibilities Conduct speech and language screenings, assessments, and comprehensive evaluations. Identify students with communication needs related to articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency, voice, social communication, and related areas. Develop measurable, individualized goals and objectives based on evaluation results and student needs. Provide individual and small-group speech and language therapy. Develop, implement, and monitor services outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs. Participate in multidisciplinary evaluation team meetings, IEP meetings, parent conferences, and student support meetings. Maintain accurate therapy notes, progress reports, evaluation records, service logs, and required compliance documentation. Monitor student progress and adjust therapy strategies as appropriate. Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, administrators, support professionals, and families. Provide teachers and families with strategies to reinforce communication skills across school and home environments. Recommend and support the use of assistive or augmentative communication tools when appropriate. Maintain student confidentiality and comply with federal, state, and district special education requirements. Manage an assigned caseload while meeting evaluation, documentation, and service-delivery timelines. Perform other related duties consistent with the responsibilities of a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a closely related field. Active Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain the appropriate Michigan credential. Knowledge of school-based evaluations, IEP development, special education procedures, and progress monitoring. Ability to work effectively with students from diverse academic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to complete all required background checks and employment clearances. Preferred Qualifications Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). Previous experience working in a school environment. Experience providing services to students in Pre-K through 8th grade. Familiarity with Michigan special education requirements and the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education. Experience with augmentative and alternative communication systems. Clinical Fellows may be considered based on the availability of qualified supervision. What We Offer Competitive hourly pay: $36.00-$43.00 Full-time, school-year schedule. Pay:
$36.00 - $44.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
