Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students and educators as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist, providing essential services during a maternity leave from September through December. This contract opportunity is ideal for a dynamic professional passionate about working within a school-based environment. You'll play a key part in helping students reach their communication potential, collaborating with families and school staff near the Aberdeen, MS area.
Desired qualifications and experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current SLP licensure (CFY candidates welcomed) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred Pediatric and school-based experience strongly valued Proficiency with common assessment tools for speech, language, and communication disorders Strong communication and organizational skills Enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to fostering student success What you'll do: Deliver speech, language, and communication therapy to students from diverse backgrounds and needs Develop, implement, and review IEPs in collaboration with faculty and families Conduct screenings, assessments, and ongoing progress monitoring Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and school initiatives Document sessions and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies Educate and consult with teachers and caregivers to maximize student support Engage students in individualized and group sessions using evidence-based practices This full-time, contract position offers the chance to collaborate with a welcoming school community during a meaningful timeframe.
