Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Burlington, NC

Job Description

Make a real impact as a contracted Speech-Language Pathologist working full-time with school-aged children from kindergarten through high school. This role places you onsite at multiple school locations, allowing you to make a difference in students' communication skills and daily academic achievements. The assignment runs during the 2026 school year, from August 18 to June 10, providing consistent hours Monday through Friday (35 hours weekly).
Essential Qualifications:
Active and current North Carolina SLP license required ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Experience or strong readiness for working in school-based settings (K-12) Ability to effectively manage a diverse caseload spanning a range of ages and abilities Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and collaboration within multi-disciplinary teams Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Commitment to onsite services; virtual/remote work is not available
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments and interventions for K-12 students Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with special education staff, general educators, and families to ensure effective support Maintain detailed, compliant student records and progress notes Travel between multiple school sites as required Participate in team meetings, eligibility meetings, and professional development as needed This assignment offers the opportunity to serve a diverse student population in a supportive educational environment while gaining valuable experience across different grade levels.
