Job Description

Make a meaningful difference for bilingual students by supporting communication, academic success, and social well-being across schools in the Durham, NC area. This rewarding contract opportunity is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist energized to work with Spanish-speaking populations in educational settings. With a flexible part-time schedule (about 27 hours a week across 3.5 days) and the ability to offer full-time hours for those seeking them, this role is designed to fit your availability and professional goals.
Responsibilities:
Conduct bilingual speech-language assessments, interventions, and case management for assigned students across several school campuses Design and deliver culturally responsive therapy sessions and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) to support each students unique needs Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff through multidisciplinary meetings to advocate for students progress Document services, maintain timely records, and plan ahead during paid administrative time Travel between multiple school sites with compensated drive time as part of your workday
Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Active state licensure (or the ability to obtain before starting) Fluency in both Spanish and English Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Experience with pediatric, school-based, or teletherapy speech services valued Ability to pass background screening and fingerprinting prior to start Role advantages include traveler-friendly support, compensated travel between schools, and scheduling flexibility.
